Fair Frome is delighted to welcome Alison Blofeld, Coordinator jobshare, working Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings.
Having lived in the Frome area for many years Alison is well known and currently volunteers at The Black Swan Arts, WHY gallery, Big Christmas Get together, as well as Fair Frome over the last year, alongside work as an English tutor.
Alison has over 30 years experience in the education sector, working as an English teacher in several local secondary Schools and in pastoral support, so is all too familiar with the challenges many individuals and families face.
“The past year has been especially difficult for so many; it is organisations such as Fair Frome which have made the difference to families in need. I have supported families in social, financial, educational and health poverty throughout my career and am looking forward to working for such a positive and ethical charity here in Frome.”
Bob Ashford, Chair of Trustees said :
“Fair Frome Trustees are extremely pleased to have Alison join us to replace Wendy Miller-Williams who has now retired. The last year has seen an unprecedented demand upon our services and we know that Alison has the commitment and energy we need going forward. We would also like to thank the many unsuccessful candidates for their interest and the work they put into their applications. “
