Fair Frome is delighted to welcome Rosie Oakley, Coordinator job share, working Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday mornings.
Rosie was born and raised in Frome, attending local schools so is well known in the town. Currently she also works in The Fat Radish, as well as continuing to volunteer for the Youth HIV campaign group Youth Stop AIDS and Restless Development. Rosie is on the trustee board for the charity Village Service Trust and a volunteer for the organisation Arogya Agam.
After graduating with a First Class degree in Social Anthropology from SOAS, Rosie worked for the research institution The Young Foundation and two charities in Southern India. Here she worked with women, children, and marginalised community members to create social change and is all too familiar with the challenges many individuals and families face.
“The past year has been especially difficult for so many; it is organisations such as Fair Frome which have made the difference to families in need. I have supported families in social, financial, educational and health poverty and am looking forward to working for such a positive and ethical charity here in Frome.”
