Fair Frome Furniture bank has been operating since April 2017. In that time we have had a steady flow of donated furniture and essential household items. We have been travelling around Frome in the grey van picking up items ranging from double beds to microwave cookers, table lamps to duvet covers. We will be delivering these to householders, who are referred to us by a professional body, who are need of items to create a home. The need may be just one thing such as a wardrobe or a number of items for various rooms. What is important is that people are given the chance to live in comfort and dignity.

Our projects are all funded through grant, trust and community fundraising and are delivered by a team of Volunteers.  We are looking for Volunteers who support our aims and ethos who can drive the van and make furniture deliveries on a regular basis.  If you have a clean driving licence, are used to heavy lifting and experienced at driving a long wheel base van, please contact us.

COMMUNITY DINING

Community dining events support the community to come together to enjoy a free meal, socialise, meet new people, and learn more about healthy cooking on a budget. These events are not only for eating – they provide a really friendly environment and nurture a sense of community between the wonderful people that attend, volunteer and enjoy them.
