Fair Frome champions greater financial, educational and social equality for people living in Frome and the surrounding areas.

We work alongside communities, families, individuals, volunteers, partner agencies and other stakeholders to create joined up, sustainable services, support innovation, raise awareness of the issues of poverty and increase participation across Frome.

In recent years, Fair Frome has become extremely busy with both the cost of living crisis  and the Covid-19 pandemic impacting the local community.

We recognise the practical and emotional strain that the current crisis is having on our local community. Inevitably the rise in living cost is hitting those who are already struggling hardest. We have increased the levels of services we are providing and the ways in which we are delivering them to reach as many people as possible and ensure our staff and volunteers are as safe as they can be. This includes starting new programmes that respond to the local community need.

How you can help…

Please donate any long-life food you can at our donation points in Asda, Sainsburys, Fromefield Co-op, Badcox Co-op, Tesco Express, Lidl, Coventry Building Society, Howden Insuranceon Catherine Street, Frome Wholefoods. You can find a list of our most needed items on Facebook or download the free app ‘Bank the Food’ to track our food needs.

Please think about giving us some money by using the local giving link  and gift aiding where possible so we can buy much needed supplies and items for our programmes.

Thank you for all your support so far. We couldn’t do any of this without the support of our local community.

If you need help

To get help from any of our services, apart from Food at 5, you need a referral.

These can come from Citizens Advice Somerset, Health Visitors, Mendip Health Connections, Frome Learning Partnership family support workers, your child’s school, your housing association, Frome Medical Practice, Somerset Council Customer Service officers or Housing Officers, Social Services or any other professional you are working with.

These referrals must come from a recognised, trusted organisation and can be sent to our email address or taken over the phone. Even when offices are closed, telephone lines are open and referrers will be able to take your referral over the phone.
