Fair Frome has been extremely busy since the pandemic began. We recognise the practical and emotional strain this is having on our local community and inevitably this is hitting those who are already struggling hardest. We have increased the levels of services we are providing and the ways in which we are delivering them to reach as many people as possible and ensure our staff and volunteers are as safe as they can be. The uncertain future will continue to increase local need and stress.

The Food Bank

The Food Bank is now open as normal providing food parcels to Frome and the surrounding BA11 area. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings between 10-1pm.

We require a referral in order to give out food parcels. To find out more, contact us on 01373 488578 / 07714587129 or use our contact form.

The Furniture Bank

The Furniture Bank is currently suspended until further notice. We hope to be back up and running in the coming months.

Food at Five

Food at Five Takeaway hot meals are continuing 3 days per week every week at 5pm.  These are free to anyone on benefits or low income. Just turn up!

  • Mondays at Mount Community Hut
  • Wednesdays at the Cricket Club
  • Thursdays at Trinity Church Hall car park

To get help from the Food Bank, you need a referral. These can come from Citizens Advice, Job Centre Plus, health visitors, Mendip Health Connections, Frome Learning Partnership family support workers, your child’s school, your housing association, Frome Medical Practice or social services.  Even where offices are closed, telephone lines are open.

Please donate any long-life food you can at our donation points, in Asda, Sainsburys, Westway Co-op, Badcox Co-op, Tesco Express, Lidl, Coventry Building Society, and Frome Wholefoods.

If you can’t get to the supermarket, please think about giving us some money by using the local giving link on the right and gift aiding where possible so we can buy food or donating an online for shop to our food bank.

Thank you for all your support so far. We couldn’t do any of this without the support of our local community.
