Frome care home residents rally to support Fair Frome’s food bank this Christmas

Rossetti House creates in-home food bank drop-off to collect donations for Fair Frome

Residents and team members at Rossetti House care home in Frome have been raising donations for Fair Frome’s food bank in the run-up to Christmas. The home set up its own food bank drop-off point in the reception area, where visitors, staff and families were invited to donate non-perishable items for local people in need.

The collection, which gathered dozens of tins, packets and other essentials, will be donated to Fair Frome, which runs the town’s food bank supporting individuals and families across the BA11 area. As demand for emergency food parcels continues to increase due to the ongoing cost of living pressures, these community-led initiatives help keep shelves stocked and ensure Fair Frome can respond quickly when people are referred for support.

Staff at Rossetti House said they were proud to stand alongside Fair Frome and hope their efforts will inspire others in the town to get involved, whether by donating food, fundraising or volunteering. Fair Frome is hugely grateful for the care home’s generosity and for the kindness shown by residents, staff, relatives and visitors who contributed to the collection this festive season.
