The Frome Independent is an award-winning destination street market that transforms the town’s high street on the first Sunday of the month from March to December, bringing together independent makers, food producers and vintage traders from across the South West. The final market of the year is the special Christmas edition on December 7th, and Fair Frome will be there throughout the day inviting shoppers to support local people who are struggling.
This year, donations collected at the Christmas market will go directly towards Fair Frome’s Christmas Get Together, which offers a warm, welcoming space and a hot festive meal on Christmas Day for those who might otherwise spend the day alone or without a proper dinner. Fair Frome’s team and volunteers will be around the market, ready to chat about our work and to accept donations of all sizes. Fair Frome will also have a stall outside the Frome library with Christmas crafts and games!
To make giving as easy as possible, we will be accepting cash, card payments and donations via QR code at our stall. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps ensure that more people in Frome can share food, company and warmth on Christmas Day. By supporting Fair Frome at the market, visitors can experience a day that is truly “more than a market” and help make sure everyone in our town feels included this Christmas.
