Standing With Residents After the Marigold Road Fire

Fair Frome Supporting Households Displaced by Frome Flats Blaze

A serious fire at a block of flats on Marigold Road in Frome has left residents unable to return home after extensive fire, smoke and water damage forced nine households into temporary hotel accommodation. While it is a huge relief that no one was seriously injured, many people have lost belongings, everyday essentials and, for now, the security of their homes.

Fair Frome is already working with partners to provide immediate practical support, including emergency food, toiletries and other basic items for those who have been displaced. As a local charity focused on tackling poverty and hardship in Frome, Fair Frome is helping to coordinate donations so that support is fair, targeted and gets quickly to the people who need it most.

Anyone in Frome who has been affected by the fire and needs help can be referred into Fair Frome’s services, including the food bank and other emergency support. Residents can also contact Frome Town Council for information about assistance and local support routes.

For those wishing to help, Fair Frome is inviting donations of suitable items and funds so that displaced residents can access what they need as they begin to rebuild. Support from the community makes a real difference at a time when people are dealing with shock, disruption and the prospect of spending the winter and festive period away from home.
