Fair Frome is thrilled to announce a new partnership with The Cheese and Grain to bring back a much‑loved local tradition — the Charity Christmas Fair — now reborn as the Winter Community Fair! Taking place on Saturday 1st November from 10am to 2pm, this joyful community gathering promises festive fun for all ages, and entry is completely free.
The event will feature a fantastic selection of stalls run by local charities, community groups, and social enterprises, all fundraising for vital local causes and raising awareness of their services. Visitors can browse an array of unique gifts, handmade crafts, and seasonal treats — perfect for early Christmas shopping while knowing every purchase supports local people in need.
Lenka Grimes of Fair Frome said:
“It’s a chance to come along, get in the Christmas spirit, and get your shopping done early, all while supporting local good causes. The Cheese and Grain is a wonderful, fully accessible community venue, making it easier for everyone — from families with pushchairs to visitors using mobility scooters — to enjoy the day.”
Children will love the affordable festive activities, including face painting and a magical Santa’s Grotto complete with elves, all for just £2 per child.
All proceeds raised from the Winter Community Fair will help Fair Frome continue its mission of tackling poverty and building a stronger, more compassionate community, through hands‑on projects such as the Food Bank, Community Pantry, Food at 5 meals, Furniture Bank, Holiday Lunches, and Baby Basics Bank.
